Are There Dangers of CoolSculpting?

Posted by Nima | September 26, 2020

Most “get rich quick” (or, in this case, “get rid of fat quick”) programs don’t usually give you all of the information before they reel you in. That’s not something we are about here at the NIMA Institute. We want our customers to understand the good and the bad of this new way to get rid of fat easily. There is so much information on the internet it must be difficult to know who and who not to trust. Luckily, NIMA has a very high credibility as we are not only a Spa but also an institute.

So, what are the dangers in CoolSculpting, if any? How can you prepare yourself for CoolSculpting and what follows? This article was written not to make you fearful of CoolSculpting but, to give you enough information so that you can make an informed decision on whether or not it may be for you. Without further ado, let’s begin with the basics.

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a new, innovative way to get rid of stubborn fat. It is a non-intrusive procedure with no downtime or painful surgery. This is also one of the only FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved fat removal treatments. It works by using controlled cooling to locate difficult fat cells and kills them by freezing them. This is not a “lose fat quick” treatment as your body must naturally process those dead cells out. It starts by having a consultation where you and your CoolSculpting expert have decided where and how many sessions you’ll be needing. Then, during the sessions, a device will be put on the selected area. All you need to do is sit back and relax while the machine does the work! At first you may feel an intense cooling sensation and a bit of tugging. After a while you won’t be able to feel it at all! During the treatment, our patients often read, listen to music, and even take a nap. After your session you’ll be able to go about your daily routine.

Are there dangers when it comes to CoolSculpting?

Let’s face it, there are always going to be dangers to everything. But what you should be looking for is what degree of danger. CoolSculpting has been approved by the FDA and that should show you how safe CoolSculpting really is. But, with anything there are side effects that you may or may not experience.

During: pinching, numbness, deep pulling, tugging, or discomfort.

After: temporary numbness, bruising, firmness, redness, swelling, tingling, stinging, or pain.

It’s important to note that CoolSculpting is not for everyone. This is one of the reasons we have a consultation before we begin treatment to ensure that CoolSculpting is right for you. Do not go through CoolSculpting if you have cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. It should also be noted that this treatment is not a treatment for obesity.

So, are there dangers? Perhaps, but the side effects are much less severe than those of other fat removal procedures and, like we stated before, the FDA has approved of this and that is quite telling.

Am I right for a CoolSculpting treatment?

Not everyone should go through CoolSculpting. The people that we believe would benefit from CoolSculpting are those that have noticeable bulges of fat in certain areas of their bodies. The treatment was made for those who have already attempted dieting and exercise. Again, this procedure is not for those who are obese

CoolSculpting is not a surgical procedure but can be compared to Liposuction. If you have problem areas that you just can’t seem to get rid of with exercise and healthy eating habits, perhaps CoolSculpting is for you. To really know if you’re the right person for this treatment we have free consultations that will explain why or why not you are a good candidate.  At this consultation you will learn what area and how any sessions we recommend in order to get optimal results.

How long will it take for me to lose weight

The answer to this question all depends on how many sessions you do and where the area is located. Some people may see results as soon as three weeksBut we have noticed that most patients see results in about two months. And your body may even continue to get rid of those dead fat cells up to six months. This all truly depends on one’s body type and the amount of fat cells that are being killed and flushed out. This is definitely not a “get rid of fat quick” scheme, we want you to understand that it may take a while before you see those results you’ve been looking for.

Are there other options?

Yes, of course there are. If you’re feeling apprehensive about CoolSculpting there are other options available. However, most of these options are a bit or a lot more intrusive than CoolSculpting so, be sure to do your research before choosing which option may be best for you. Liposuction, diet and exercise, radiofrequency lipolysis or vanquish, TruSculpt, Kybella (we also offer Kybella). Kybella is specifically made for “double chins” and is not an all over body treatment. Like we stated before, CoolSculpting is like Liposuction but without having to go under general anesthesia, and surgery with the potential to scar.

People often ask us what happens if you end up gaining weight after your treatment. If you gain more fat after the treatment it is more likely to spread rather than sit in one area. We like people to understand this because other options of fat removal may not be the same. There is also no need to take a certain supplement or diet after to keep the weight off. However, those who go through CoolSculpting often feel so wonderful that they work hard to keep those areas as healthy as possible.

In the end, it’s your choice

At the end of the day it is your choice to come and get a free consultation to see if CoolSculpting in Salt Lake City could be your best option for getting rid of that stubborn fat. There are always going to be dangers when it comes to everything in life. But it’s up to you to choose which are worth it and which are not. CoolSculpting has been approved by the FDA and that’s important to note as other types of fat loss regimens have not been. Here are the NIMA Institute, we want our customers and teachers to be as knowledgeable as possible. So, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at NIMA.edu.
