What to know about NIMA as an aesthetic school
When looking into aesthetician schools, especially in Utah and Nevada, there is one thing that you will notice very quickly; there are a lot of schools to pick from. Well, while we can’t say for sure that NIMA is the absolute right aesthetic school for you, we can say that it is a pretty awesome one. We offer several different courses.
The world of beauty and aesthetics is always changing. Between new trends and new technology, there is always something to learn. And we want our graduates to be ready for that. One of the biggest things that should be noted about the NIMA Institute is that we offer a wide range of courses, so that our students a better prepared for both the aesthetic worlds of today and tomorrow.
Here is a brief overview of the courses we offer:
Advanced Aesthetics
Our Advanced Aesthetics courses are a great way to learn all about the current crazes in the beauty world, so that once you’re finished, you can jump right into your work. These courses range from Vampire Facials to Classic Lash Extensions to Microblading.
Aesthetics Licensure
If you’re looking to be licensed either in Utah or Nevada, then you are in the right place. We offer full Aesthetics Licensure courses for both states. In Nevada it is a 900-hour course. In Utah, you have a few more options. You can do a 1200-hour, 750-hour, or online course. You can pick which ever one fits your schedule and lifestyle best.
Comprehensive Laser
We also offer a separate Comprehensive Laser course. This a perfect option for those who are already well established in their aesthetician career but are looking for a good way to advance it. In this course, you will learn about a number of different laser-involved aesthetic techniques. This includes laser hair removal and laser skin rejuvenation.
Cosmetic Administrations
There are three main Cosmetic Administrations course that we offer. The first two are Comprehensive Cosmetic Administrations and Advanced Cosmetic Administration. Both of these are focused on administering cosmetics in a bit more of a general sense. The third is PDO Threading. This is a process where a special kind of thread is used to help give the face a lift and temporarily get rid of lines and wrinkles. With this course, you will learn all about the process and how to do it.
Therapeutic Administrations
We also offer courses that are more focused on the therapeutic side of the aesthetics. These courses include different Vampire treatments and Sexual Rejuvenation therapies. These courses, like the Comprehensive Laser courses, are a good choice for aestheticians who are looking to learn about the newest therapies and technologies to further their careers.
We are fully accredited
Unfortunately, some aesthetic schools go for flash and price and ignore one of the most important parts of their job. That is the substance. Many of these schools don’t have the proper accreditation and as a result, many employers don’t view certification from these schools as anything worth noting.
But this isn’t the case with the NIMA Institute. We are a fully accredited aesthetic school. Our 750-hour and 1200-hour Aesthetic Licensure courses are nationally accredited with the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). We also have accreditation with the Better Business Bureau with an “A+” rating. The NIMA Institute is a member of the Utah Medical Association, the International Aesthetic and Laser Association (IALA), and the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) and is deeply involved in each of these organizations.
